LinkedIn is a business networking site - probably the easiest mean to engage in social media technology for any business. Think of it as a virtual rolodex. On Steroids.
If you don’t have an account, you can start by connecting with people you know. Share and solicit recommendations within your network to increase visibility. Build relationships.
Find or join LinkedIn Groups to connect to like-minded people, preferably groups around your region. Build more relationships.
Share your expertise and engage in conversations relating to your profession alongside other practitioners or response to queries with LinkedIn Answers. Build even more relationships.
And explore the new LinkedIn Application to enhance and add functionality to your profile. Connect your profile to your blog and vice versa. Or even share your reading list.
For companies, this can humanize and put faces to the business entity to deepen brand friendship, or even generate leads for new clients. And as for individuals, it is a really nifty way to keep your resume updated.
