We live in an Internet age, and what that means is that we live in a world of engineering. Our world is largely shaped by the ideas brought forth by engineers which creates systems that are increasingly built to work on the engineering principle – which means, if it is engineered well enough, it will function as intended without fail.
It also means it’s all binary, measurable, and trackable. Everything’s out in the open. It’s easy to see what’s going on, and everything’s just a click away. People who don’t agree with this state of affairs tend to call it “oversharing” or “too transparent.”
Personally I wouldn’t know what the difference is between the two: it’s hard to argue privacy online when no one seems to have any regard for mine!
